Dallas Times Herald, 1993
This image has more significance for Dallas residents than others. The Dallas Times Herald was the afternoon paper and the liberal paper compared to The Dallas Morning News. After years of circulation wars, The Dallas Morning News finally bought The Dallas Times Herald and shut it down. Not only shut it down, but bought the building, disassembled the presses and tore down the building to prevent another newspaper from starting. This photograph was taken as the marble façade was being removed on a rainy day. All that remains is the ghosted image of "Dallas Times Herald."
